SUMMARY

Susmita Maskey, the first Nepali woman to climb Seven Summits, the highest mountains on each continent is an Honorary Tourism Goodwill Ambassador of Nepal 2015-2017 and Honorary Public Relations Representative of Nepal Tourism Board 2015-2017. She has been conferred with ‚Prabal Jana Sewa Shree Padak‘, one of the highest civilian awards of Nepal, by Rt. Honorable President of the Federal Democratic Republic of Nepal.

Susmita is a motivational speaker and has given talks to various international tour groups, schools, universities, NGO/INGOs, embassies, and corporate houses in Nepal, USA, Canada, Australia, Bangladesh, Tanzania, India and Germany. An hour long talk with multimedia presentation will take the audiences on the roller coaster of emotions as Susmita will be sharing her amazing mountaineering experiences along with personal challenges on mountain and in life. Being a Nepali girl, a woman, a non-mountaineering background holder, tiny, petite, and fragile looking, Susmita was always told what she could and should do or not. But today she stands beyond and above all these challenges and proves the world, that she is educated and confident, hence herself can determine her potential and limitations. The transition from being a victim of childhood molestation and sexual abuse to becoming a mountaineer setting new heights and dreams for women in Nepal and the world, her story is as unique and inspiring as she channelled all her pain into the biggest strength. Through different platforms, she now strongly advocates for the safety of children and women.
